Eating Right Everywhere: Food and Health in Global Perspective
Food is more than what's on the plate — it's history, culture, and connection.
Join us for Eating Right Everywhere: Food and Health in Global Perspective, a research symposium bringing together historians, anthropologists, sociologists, and nutritionists from across the country.
We'll travel the globe together: from African diaspora tables and stories, to the microbial fermentation traditions of Japan; from late-colonial Mexican cookbooks, to the politics of vegetarianism; from dietary programs inside US prisons, to the healing foods of Cambodia — and so much more.
Come be part of the conversation as we ask: is there such a thing as "eating right everywhere"?
Friday - August 28 | 9:30 am - 4:00 pm
Location: Iris Cantor Building
Join us anytime throughout the day, for this free event! (Lunch will be provided).
