Dr. Victoria Maizes is the Founding Executive Director of the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine and a Professor of Medicine and Public Health at the University of Arizona.  Internationally recognized as a leader in integrative medicine, Dr. Maizes is committed to helping individuals live healthier lives and pioneering change efforts that solve US health care system challenges. For twenty-four years (2000-2024), she stewarded the growth of the Program in Integrative Medicine from a small program training four physicians annually into an internationally recognized Center of excellence. Together with her team at the Center, she created and implemented educational programs that train thousands of physicians, nurses, and other health professionals and impacts the care of millions of patients. A highly sought-after speaker, she frequently delivers keynotes for academic conferences and for lay audiences around the world. Dr Maizes is the editor of the Oxford University textbook Integrative Women's Health(now in 2nd edition) and the author of Be Fruitful: The Essential Guide to Maximizing Fertility and Giving Birth to a Healthy Child. Her newest book, HEAL FASTER: Unlock Your Body's Rapid Recovery Reflex to Feel Better – Quicker will be published by Simon and Schuster in 2026. Named one of the world's 25 intelligent optimists by ODE magazine, Dr Maizes co-hosts the popular podcast Body of Wonder with Dr Andrew Weil.
